Engineered Retaining Wall

This Charleston property had a steep slope in the backyard that was actively eroding toward the house with every heavy rain. We built a segmental block retaining wall with full gravel backfill and a drainage pipe behind it, tall enough to require engineering review before construction.

Regrading the slope above and below the wall reclaimed usable yard space that had previously been too steep to do much with, in addition to solving the erosion problem.
